See News page for guidance on minimising the spread of Covid-19 through church activities and supporting one another through the pandemic.

Do look at Revd John Park's  Prayers at Home for use anytime, but especially during the pandemic.

Morpeth Deanery is a group of parishes in an area within the Archdeaconry of Lindisfarne in the Diocese of Newcastle.

It exists to support the parishes in their mission and ministry of the whole church.

The area stretches from rural Kirkwhelpington in the west across to Newbiggin on the east coast and from Longhorsley in the north down to Stannington in the south.

A small group of elected lay people and clergy meet four times a year as the Deanery Development Group, to discuss deanery matters and agree Synod agendas, acting as the Pastoral Committee and the Standing Committee. The clergy of Morpeth Deanery meet regularly in a so-called Chapter Meeting and elected lay members from the parishes and clergy meet three or four times a year as a Deanery Synod. Being a Synod is about walking a path together and this is what we seek to do.
